Baseball, Kids Barbecue, Hibachi Dinner, Atlantic City and Miniature Golf–8/23/11

Today we started the day with a baseball game with Eileen and Rudy’s grandkids – Johnny, Anthony, Nicky and Christina.

After the game, Grandpa cooked hot dogs and burgers on the grill for all the kids.

Just before 2:00, the ground began to shake, but we didn’t think much about it.  Later we found out there was an earthquake with a 5.8 magnitude which centered nearly 400 miles away in central Virginia.   Yikes.

Later in the day, we went to Mount Fuju,  a Japanese restaurant in Absecon.   Vasili and Elias learned to eat with chopsticks and loved the show that the chef put on – although they got a little scared when he lit the oily smiley face.   Smile

There were no leftovers!

We then went to Atlantic City to play miniature golf on the boardwalk.    Since we had to park at the Trump Plaza Casino, Vasili and Elias got their first look inside the casino as we walked through to get to the boardwalk.

The miniature golf course was right outside the casino on the boardwalk.   The 18 hole course was a lot of fun, especially since it was getting dark and the lights of the boardwalk were exciting.

Goodnight! Smile
