First time cruisers, Mike, Vasili and Elias didn’t know what to expect when boarding the beautiful Anthem of the Seas. But, they quickly acclimated to ship life!
So much to do……bumper cars, rock climbing, basketball, circus school, teen club, table tennis, surfing, skydiving…..just to name a few.
Our first stop was Port Canaveral where we just got off the ship and picked up a taxi to the Kennedy Space Center. The ship’s tour was sold out, but it was so easy to just do the tour on our own.
Our taxi driver, Redneck, was a riot. He entertained us in both directions! We told him what time to come and get us, and sure enough……he was there. Just as we returned to the ship, he casually mentioned that he was blind in one eye! The tour was fantastic, especially for the boys since they really didn’t know anything about the space program…….which is now defunct.
Next port – Coco Cay…..Royal Caribbean’s private island. We had to tender into this port since there is no pier. Always an experience!
Our next stop – Nassau. OMG – what a fun time we had learning to play the conch! We followed up with lunch at Senior Frogs (which is an experience in and of itself) where we enjoyed fresh conch salad prepared live in front of us.

Everyone agreed that this was the very best vacation….ever. Can’t wait to cruise together again.
