St. Maartin, St. Thomas, St. Kitt’s – March 19, 20 and 21st, 2012

St. Maartin – 3/19  -  Today we rented a car so we could go to the French side of the island and visit Marigot, the capital.   So much traffic.    Parking spots were few and far between.   We finally found a spot and walked around the flea market.   Had a French baguette with prosciutto  and goat cheese for lunch.   After spending about an hour in Marigot, we tried to go to Orient Beach to look at the nude people, but by the time we got there, it was really too late to rent chairs and umbrella’s, so we headed back to Phillipsburg.   Kos dropped off the car and we met at the pretzel Hot dog place, but it was closed.   So we had some beer and then headed back to the ship.

St. Thomas – 3/20/12
Today we went to Megan’s Bay, one of the top 10 beaches in the world.   Very crowded.  An expensive day – About $85 a couple which included the taxi, entrance to the beach, the chairs and lunch.   Next time – back to Coki Beach.   Less crowded, better food.  
 
St. Kitts – March 21, 2012 -  Today we decided to skip the beach and pick up a tour on the dock.   We found a taxi driver “Frankie”, who took us on a 2 1/2 hour tour around for $20 per person.   An excellent day.

Although it’s not recommended to hold the monkeys---- as usual – I couldn’t resist.   They were wearing pampers, so no worries about “you know what”.  :)     The little one did bite me (twice) but didn’t break the skin.
