Happy Birthday to me. :) Today we took the bus from the port to the T which brought us to the Public Garden and the downtown Boston area. Weather sunny and warm. 74 degrees.
We love this city. You name it – it’s here. The city has a thriving theater district comprised of some of the oldest and most beautiful theaters in the nation. Boston is New England’s largest city with a population of 4.7 million people of diverse cultural backgrounds. We walked through the Public Garden to Newbury Street (the 5th Avenue of Boston). Since we’ve spent some time here in the past, we decided to go to the Maparium – a globe of the world that you actually walk through.
After our tour, we took the Boston T back to the World Trade Center area and walked to a restaurant that Kos remembered going to when he was doing some work with the“Big Dig”. The “NO NAME” restaurant was on the Fishing Pier and didn’t disappoint. We had a fantastic fresh seafood lunch. Then, back to the ship to rest before our dinner in the specialty restaurant, The Normandie.
Below is a picture of us at the Normandie gourmet restaurant on the ship. The wall in the background actually came from the ship – The Normandie.
