Good bye Luzern, Hello Munich

Cloudy with drizzle.  60 degrees.    Train to Munich $280 – Left on the 12:10 train.   First leg of trip was Luzern to Zurich -   about a 45 minute ride.   Trains are modern, quiet and on time.  Zurich to Munich was almost a 5 hour trip.   Train not as nice as the first one, but comfortable.   Arrived Munich train station and took cab to hotel – Renaissance Munich Hotel – 5 star hotel.   Priceline.   Hotel located opposite the English Gardens in a beautiful residential area of Munich with what appears to be luxury hotels.   Priceline is great.   Always puts us in hotels that we wouldn’t be able to afford.   We were greeted with the news that they upgraded us to a suite – overlooking the garden.   This place was bigger than our South Beach co-op.   Bedroom, living room, kitchen, walk in closet, makeup area, big bathroom.   Double sink;    Unbelievable.   Front desk staff recommended a authentic Bavarian Beer Garden “Brunnwart” which was within walking distance of the hotel.   Food great, price excellent. Not a tourist trap.    We can afford to eat in restaurants again!  Yippee.     2 meals, 2 beers each and tip – $27 eu --
